For some time now we have AppleCare+ available in Spain, Apple’s extended warranty service that allows us to opt for special protection in case our devices have problems. A kind of insurance that is associated with each device when you buy it. And now AppleCare+ just added coverage against theft and loss in three new countries: Spain, Italy and France.
The new AppleCare + coverage extended to theft and loss has an extra cost of 60 euros or 3 euros more per month. When you buy your new iPhone, a new window will appear allowing you to purchase the new AppleCare+ with extra coverage.

AppleCare+, what is the situation right now
AppleCare+ has a cost of 229 euros in a single payment or 11.49 euros per month for two years. This plan offers us protection against accidental damage, for example in case of having to change the screen of the iPhone, instead of paying the usual cost that exceeds 300 euros in the new models, we will pay only 29 euros.
The new AppleCare+ extra that also covers theft or loss of the device costs extra. This price would vary depending on the device you buy, for example in the latest iPhone 13 Pro models the total price remains in 289 euros in a single payment or 14.49 euros per month during coverage time.
In addition to the benefits of AppleCare+, you are covered for a minimum of two incidents of theft or loss every 12 months, up to the limit stipulated in the conditions.
AppleCare+ now covers against iPhone loss or theft
For example, if your iPhone 13 Pro Max is lost or stolen and you have signed up for AppleCare+ with coverage for theft and loss, you can access a new iPhone 13 Pro Max for only 129 euros instead of having to buy a new iPhone for more than 1200. Theft and loss claims are handled by the insurance company AIG.
