
Flower Moon’s killers have been waiting in the wings for a while, but it looks like we finally have an idea of when the picture could make its debut.
According to a new report from Deadline, Martin Scorsese’s picture is currently planned to premiere worldwide at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023. In addition to the film’s debut at the festival, Apple is reportedly working with Paramount to mark the film’s debut. Major theatrical release.
While festival and theatrical releases are rolling out, there’s still no indication when this picture will actually debut on Apple TV+, the company’s streaming service.
What is Killer of the Flower Moon about?
Killer of the Flower Moon is based on the bestselling novel of the same name (opens in new tab) and tells the story of a series of serial murders in Oklahoma in the 1920s known as the Reign of Terror.
It stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Brendan Fraser, Lily Gladstone, and more.
The new film is based on the book Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, which is about a series of murders of Osage Native Americans in Oklahoma. The film is set in the 1920s and follows the discovery of oil deposits beneath the land of the aforementioned Native Americans. Deadline noted that the ensuing investigation established the FBI and was a pivotal moment in America’s evolution from its frontier era.
