Getting a new iPad is an exciting time, with everything from comparing specs to unboxing to fine-tuning settings. But before you start playing around with all the new features, there’s an inevitable question of what to do with your old iPad. If your iPad is still in working condition, you have several options, such as selling it or reusing it, but before you do anything with your old iPad, you’ll need to erase and factory-reset it. is required.

Before erasing, be sure to back up

If you want to back up your iPad manually, you will follow the steps above, but once you get icloud backup Select “Back Up Now”. You can view previous backups by visiting Settings > Your name at the top of the page > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backup.
Click Back Up Now in iCloud Settings to start saving immediately.

A useful tip for backing up your devices: Make sure whatever you’re backing up is connected to both your home Internet and a power source. This ensures that you are not draining your battery or your data when you back up your device.

Now that you have saved your data, it is time to erase your device. Like backing up your iPad, there are two ways to erase your device: from your Mac or Windows PC, or on your iPad. Again, the easier option is to reset directly from the iPad.
To erase your device go here Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad And then tap “Erase All Content and Settings”.
