After adding threads to the Eve Motion Sensor, Eve is back again with yet another upgrade to one of its existing products. The new Eve Aqua is available now and is the perfect way to turn a traditional outdoor faucet into one that supports HomeKit for automatically watering your grass, plants, and more.
If you’re building a new home today and are looking for a sprinkler system, it’s best to get a sprinkler system that works with HomeKit. If you don’t want to dig out your yard or want to retrofit an existing sprinkler system or outdoor hose setup, the new Eve Aqua is the perfect tool for you. Once installed, the Eve Aqua Smart Water Controller activates your irrigation system via your iPhone, Siri, or a built-in button and runs for a preset period of time to avoid any surprises on your water bill. The latter turns off automatically.
The new Eve Aqua builds upon its previous model by using a new design both interiors and exteriors that adds to the look and the function. The Eve Aqua sports a space gray body and a matte black front. It replaces the previous internal system with brass faucet connectors and magnetic valves to enjoy improved durability, better leak protection, and nearly silent operation compared to previous models.
“Eve Aqua looks gorgeous and makes smart gardening easy, safe and enjoyable,” says Jerome Gackel, CEO of Eve Systems. “The thread eliminates the need for a digital bridge, while the brass faucet adapter ensures a rock-solid physical connection. And of course, our beautiful Eve app brings all this together, creating scheduling, and monitoring consumption. does, a breeze.
The new Eve Aqua is compatible with all conventional hose systems and multi-channel water distributors such as Gardena. Additionally, it offers seven water periods out of the box. Using a custom schedule or turning it on manually If you’re concerned about your plants or grass during a heatwave, you’ll have complete control over your watering via the Home app or the Eve iPhone app.
While the new body style looks great for overall durability, the software side of the Eve Aqua is with a thread of requisite upgrades. Thread technology is specially developed for smart home applications to improve connectivity between products. As you create your thread network (HomePod Mini, other devices, etc.), you will create a mesh network. Within this mesh network, lights, thermostats, outlets, sensors, and more can also talk to each other, without the hindrance of going through a central hub such as a bridge or router. This is because thread networks do not require one. If a single device fails, the data packet is simply relayed to the next one in the network.
