Spotify, one of the most famous music streaming applications worldwide, once again shows us why it has such fame. The app has just released a new tool to help you expand your musical tastes and this time it will do so with the help of your friends, this tool is called «Friends Mix«.
Friends Mix is a list that the application updates daily for you, which obtains its recommendations thanks to the algorithm that analyzes your tastes and takes songs from your friends’ playlists. That is, this tool finds songs your friends like and recommends you the ones you might likeexpanding your preferences and strengthening your friendship with the people you have on Spotify.
Spotify has many other useful tools like showing you the lyrics of the songs you are listening to, for example, so if you don’t have an account in this wonderful application yet we invite you to download it and create your own profile.
How to find your Friends Mix?
With the Friends Mix playlist, we can get to know new music and get to know our friends better through their tastes. If you find it interesting too, follow the steps below to find your own Friends Mix on Spotify on iOS, because unfortunately this option is not yet available for Androidbut according to reliable sources it would be arriving in the coming months:
- Enter the main menu of Spotify and click on search.
- Go to the section of created for you.
- There go to created for us and in this section should be your Friends Mix.
Another option for all those readers who do not have an iOS device is to go directly to the Spotify website and follow the same steps that we just explained.
I don’t see any playlist called Friends Mix
It is likely that some users still do not see this option available in Spotify and the reason may be that you still do not have enough fusion lists with a friend in the app. Spotify needs some reference to be able to generate your Friends Mix, so If you don’t have multiple merge playlists with multiple friends, this playlist won’t be able to be created for you..
You need at least 2 friends and with each of them generate at least 3 fusion lists. Your merge lists can have up to 10 participants and they’re a great way to cooperate with your friends to produce an amazing Playlist that everyone involved will enjoy.
Another reason why you probably don’t have a Friends Mix yet is because, as we explained before, this option is not yet available on Android and you are looking for it from an Android device.
How to generate a fusion list in Spotify?
Getting started making your fusion playlists with Spotify is pretty easy and it’s a great way to use the app and have fun with it. If you are interested in create fusion lists on Spotifyfollow the steps below:
- go to Spotify home menu.
- Click on the search option, type “fusion” and then go to the results of that search.
- At the end of the results you will find in the section of Genres and moods an option that says “Fusion”get in there.
- Enter the option that says «Create a merge«.
- Over there click on “Invite” and select the way to share the link to join the list with your friends.
The process is the same in the application and on the Spotify website, so feel free to do it through either of these two options.
