A couple of months ago the new Honor X8 hit the market, a mid-range that surprised by its 64 megapixel camera and its expandable RAM. However, one of the things for which this mobile was criticized was not having 5G in the middle of 2022.
Well, the version of this mobile has finally arrived that does have this network technology, although unfortunately it sacrifices other features. It is the new Honor X8 5G, a phone that it only stands out for being compatible with 5G networks. Why? Well, because, as you will see below, the rest of its specifications fall short of what today’s mid-range mobiles offer.

A mid-range with 5G and little else
Compared to the rest of the mid-range mobiles that have hit the market this year, the Honor X8 5G seems more of the low-end. For starters, you have a 6.5-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution (720p). In addition, it abandons the powerful Snapdragon 680 that the Honor X8 brought to carry a modest Qualcomm chipset under the hood: the Snapdragon 480+.
The photographic section has also been sacrificed in this model with 5G. The Honor X8 5G loses a sensor and mounts one on its module triple camera starring a 48 megapixel main sensor (quad camera with 64 MP main sensor on the Honor X8).
Finally, perhaps one of the main improvements offered by the Honor X8 5G is in its autonomy. This mobile is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and 22.5 W fast charge. Y… What OS version do you have? Well Android 11 with the house customization layer: Magic UI 4.2.
Price and availability of the Honor X8 5G
For now, no release date or official price has been revealed of the new Honor X8 5G. However, in the Indian market it is speculated that its cost will be around 16,999 rupees, about 210 euros To the change. What is known is that it will come in two colors (midnight black and ocean blue) and in a single configuration of RAM and storage (6 GB + 128 GB).
