Instagram is running out of ideas, and in addition to copying TikTok, it has also decided to do it with the apps that have been born to try to stop the Meta platform. BeReal, which promises to expose the reality of each person on the internet, is one of them. How do you do it? Taking photos using the front and rear camera at the same time. Thus, you cannot hide anything, even if you want to.
Also, BeReal urges you to take the photo in just a couple of minutes, and at random times of the day. Namely, you don’t have hours to plan, pose and study your surroundings well, and you never know when you’ll be able to take the next photo. It is simply you, as you see yourself at all times of the day.
in an apparent attempt to copy the popular app BeReal, Instagram is rolling out its own feature (called ‘Dual’) to take disappearing photos using the front and back cameras simultaneously

If you didn’t know about this app, know that it has become the new social network for Generation Z. During the week of July 11, it reported 1.7 million installations. In fact, if you go to the iOS App Store, you can find it in first place in the Top Free Apps section, while Instagram is in sixth place.
Instagram wants you to be real, but not real
Now, Instagram has decided to copy this essential function of BeReal. However, it does not do so to urge its users to be “more real.” No, it seems that this is not the idea behind, or at least at the moment it does not seem to be.
In the case of the Meta social network, the integration comes under the name of Dual. Just open the Instagram app on your mobile and try opening your camera. Under the tool panel on the left of the screen, you will see a new function with that name.
When you activate it, Instagram will show exactly the same interface as BeReal. Showing a small photo of your face in the top corner, and what your rear camera is seeing in the larger area. Views are reversible, of course, and you can make your face fill the screen and your surroundings only show in a small frame.

However, unlike BeReal, this feature can be used at any time. Fortunately for the growing social network, Instagram doesn’t encourage its users to take photos at random times, and with a window of just two minutes. It is a feature with which you can simply show two things at the same time.
In case you still don’t see this feature, please wait a bit. Although Instagram displays these options to all users, some users may experience some delay.
