Motorola is preparing a new pair of flagship smartphones for the market. The first is the Motorola Edge X30 Pro which will bring Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the world’s first commercially available 200MP camera. The second will be the company’s new take on the RAZR series, which brings a new foldable smartphone with a modern design and flagship specifications such as SD 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The launch event was expected to take place last Tuesday, August 2. However, it was canceled a few hours before the event. According to speculations, the reason for this is the rising tension between China and Taiwan in the light of the visit of Nancy Pelosi (Chairman of the US House of Representatives) to Taiwan. So, Motorola Edge X30 Pro and RAZR 2022 will have to wait a few more days.
The tour was basically a “bomb” and shook up the entire market. Now the situation is a bit calm. After all, China clearly does not want to involve itself in a conflict like Russia. So, it’s time to move on. Today, Lenovo’s Mobile China GM has posted a new teaser for the Moto RAZR 2022 with the August 11 date and 2 PM time on the cover screen. Hence, we assume that this is the new launch date for the Motorola Edge X30 Pro and Moto RAZR 2022 flagship duo.
According to reports, both Motorola Edge X30 Pro and Moto RAZR 2022 will be available for sale right after the event. Hence, the reservations for both the smartphones are already live. Interested users can pre-book either of the two flagships through JD.com’s website. Therefore, we believe that the open sale will begin immediately after the August 11th event.
Motorola Edge X30 and RAZR 2022 alleged specifications
The Moto RAZR 2022 will bring a new design without the big chin that was seen in previous smartphones. It will have a bigger inner display with 6.7-inch and 3-inch outer screens. The device packs a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide snapper. The foldable will bring a new battery capacity with a 3,500mAh battery. Motorola Edge X30, on the other hand, brings the world’s first 200 MP camera using Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 sensor. There will also be a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and a 4,500mAh battery with 125W fast-charging support.
