Pete Lau, CEO of one plusannounced with a post on his company’s forums that the OnePlus 10T It will be officially announced on August 3 at an event to be held in New York City. Lau further confirmed that the OnePlus 10T – despite not having “Pro” in its name – will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 platform.
The event will also serve for the official presentation of Oxygen OS 13the new version of the operating system probably based on Android 13, which according to Lau will reach the OnePlus 10 Pro and the OnePlus 10T towards the end of 2022.
The CEO takes some time to praise the new Qualcomm chip, assuring that it has higher performance and better battery efficiency than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and that, therefore, the OnePlus 10T will be more oriented to the performance – even for gaming – than the 10 Pro.
As for the smartphone, OnePlus hardly shows unclear images of the OnePlus 10T in the company’s typical posture with its launches. However, the set of three cameras seems to be present while maintaining the same design language of its predecessor, and an improvement in its main camera would be welcome, although unlikely.
Rumors claim that the OnePlus 10T will have a 150W fast charge and will finally eliminate the iconic slider that has characterized OnePlus smartphones since its inception, a decision that seems to have no reasonable explanation, at least for consumers.
