Wccftech and Expreview have come into possession of what appear to be the final specs of the first CPU models that will make up the initial Ryzen 7000 launch lineup by AMD. The info concerns specifically the Ryzen 9 7950X and 7900X, the Ryzen 7 7700X and the Ryzen 5 7600X.
Starting from the top-of-the-range CPUs, the Ryzen 9 7950X will include 16 cores and 32 threads and it will work at significantly higher frequencies compared to the previous series of processors. According to rumors, the base frequency has been increased from 3.4 GHz to 4.5 GHz, reaching 5.7 GHz in boost. The TDP of this particular model would thus rise to 170W, to reach a peak of 230W upon reaching the highest frequencies.
The Ryzen 9 7900X instead it will be equipped with 12 cores and 24 threads, with a 4.7 GHz base frequencyan increase of a whopping 1 GHz over the past model. In boost the frequency will be able to reach 5.6 GHzmaintaining a 170W TPD, which according to rumors, should remain the same for all Ryzen 9 models.
As for the mid-range of the range, even the Ryzen 7 and the Ryzen 5 will keep the same number of cores as their predecessors, while increasing the clock. The Ryzen 7 7700X with 8 cores and 16 threads will have a base frequency of 4.5 GHz, reaching 5.4 GHz in boost and maintaining a TDP of 105W. However, the 7800X is not yet mentioned which, as already anticipated in the past, apparently will not be present at launch. The same goes for the Ryzen 5 7600Xwhich maintaining 6 cores will increase the base and boost frequencies to 4.7 GHz and 5.3 GHz respectively, again with a TDP of 105W.
However, the novelties of the specifications of the first Ryzen 7000 CPU models do not concern only the frequencies, all processors will have a larger 1MB L2 cachecompared to the 512Kb of the previous generation, while keeping the L3 cache unchanged. The company is also working on new models equipped with 3D V-Cache, given the excellent reception found with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. The launch of the new Ryzen 7000 is expected on September 15, with AMD having in the meantime given the official confirmation during a financial conference.
