We have probably come to the conclusion of the mods useful for Skyrim. After years of downloading new textures, new features and even a system that transforms the Bethesda game into a cooperative multiplayer, now the latest addition is a mod that replaces the polygonal models of dragons with that of the State… of Ohio. No, we’re not kidding: someone has seriously decided to replace the creatures with the shape of the US country.
Created by modder Trainwiz, the mod does not have a real sense and is limited, in fact, to replace all dragons in Skyrim with the geographic silhouette. So, just right for. Let’s be serious: there is no indication on Nexus as to why this mod was created, which among other things is also easy to install: just insert a DLL in the installation folder and that’s it, here are all the dragons they will become, in fact, the state of Ohio.
There isn’t much more to add, actually. However, user comments on this are certainly fun enough to read. “Skyrim can finally be played,” writes one user on YouTube. “POV: you live in Michigan”, another comment left under the short video presentation of the mod, which portrays the introductory scene of the game. The video, which you can find immediately below, takes on a decidedly comic outline at the end, when you see what the dragon must have been flying away.
Of mods for Skyrim we will probably see others, but we hope they are of much greater thickness. And if the modder’s imagination has not subsided even for a moment ahead of an 11-year-old game, who knows what they’ll accomplish once Starfield (already responsible for a couple breakup, by the way) is available. Bethesda’s next RPG doesn’t have a release date yet, but the development team aims to release it in 2023.
