Over the next few months, will arrive two games inspired by the Lord of the Rings. The first is the one starring Gollum, the second will be a survival. We are sure that both titles have been made with the utmost care by the various developers, but the fan concept trailer of the Enfant Terrible collective has shown us, once again, what the potential of Unreal Engine 5 can be, especially if applied. to a hypothetical next gen game inspired by Tolkien’s work.
Aragorn The Lord of the Rings
The collective has in fact worked on a concept trailer, based on The Lord of the Rings, to show the potential of a real modern video game inspired by the series. It is a decidedly incredible work, which imagines a possible trilogy in a single package, completely next gen. The result is extraordinary and prompts us to ask ourselves why no one is working on such a work.
Clearly, between saying and doing there is the sea. And this concept trailer, while showing the potential of the project, invites us once again to get back down to earth. Realizing such a work would perhaps cost too much, and knowing how the license has been dealt with over the years, with decidedly more contained but still of great depth experiments, leads us to understand why it is not planned (at least for now) such a work. You can take a look at the work thanks to the video that you find a little further down.
In the near future, The Lord of the Rings will not only be the protagonist of video games, but also of a new TV series, which will debut exclusively on Prime Video, the Amazon service dedicated to streaming movies, TV series and documentaries.
