It is the technology that we all expect in the iPhone and it seems that it could reach the iPad sooner.
For years, practically since the arrival of the iPhone X, Apple smartphone users have been looking forward to something that will end up happening sooner or later. Nevertheless, It is likely that this long-awaited novelty will reach the iPad range before the iPhoneTo everyone’s surprise.
We talked about the much rumored technology that would allow hide Face ID under the screen of the iPhone. According to display analyst Ross Young, Apple could include this feature earlier on iPads than on iPhones.
A novelty that we expect in the iPhone 16 and that could reach the iPad Pro sooner
Analyst Ross Young has been through the latest episode of The MacRumors Showrevealing that he thinks that Apple’s Under-Display TrueDepth Camera Could Come to iPad Before iPhonebecause this technology is easier to fit under a larger screen and with a lower density of pixels per inch.
Previously, Young himself had revealed that this technology would arrive in 2024 with the iPhone 16, which will be the iPhone that we all want. This year we will have a double hole in screen with the iPhone 14, something that we will also see in all the iPhone 15 models but that will disappear in the iPhone 16 Pro, according to this information.
So if Apple is going to introduce this technology sooner on iPads, we should see it on the iPad Pro of 2023 or early 2024. It would not be something strange since, although the i’phone usually releases many of the technologies, there are others that Apple has introduced for the first time in the iPad.
Technologies such as Touch ID and Face ID or the 64-bit processor came to the iPhone before, but other important developments such as the screen TrueTone, the refresh rate of up to 120 Hz with ProMotion or the LiDAR scanner arrived earlier on the iPad. So it wouldn’t be surprising if Apple launched its under-display camera earlier on the iPad.
iPhone 15: leaked specifications, release date and price
We will see when this technology finally reaches Apple devices. Really, It matters little if it reaches the iPhone or iPad before, is something that we will end up seeing on both devices. What is rarely important is that Face ID under the screen arrives and does it in a way that works correctly and without problems. Let’s hope it’s sooner than later.
