Defeating death is not yet possible, but in The Sims 4 a bug is not only preventing it from stopping, it is also somehow speeding it up. Yes, because the latest update of the title of Maxis and Electronic Arts is literally preventing several players from being able to complete their games in a normal way. How? Simply speeding up (and not a little) the aging process of player-controlled Sims.
The bug was reported on Reddit and is present in the game after the last update. The mistake would not affect all games, but only those that have set a longer (and in some cases shorter) life for the characters. Ironically aside, it is clear that this problem is simply making it impossible to play normal games. It goes without saying that this problem has raised doubts and questions, especially for all those who have just started the game. A problem that Maxis is already aware of and which will obviously be solved in the coming weeks.
“Hey Simmer! We are investigating an issue that ages your characters too quickly using some options. We ask you to play or create new saves using the Lifespan function set to normal, while we work to find a solution ”, the words of the development team declared on Twitter. It is therefore a work arounda strategy to be able to try to play normal games obviously waiting for an official fix to fix this bug.
Hey Simmers! We are currently investigating instances involving Sims auto-aging up in saves using the Short or Long lifespan. We recommend temporarily playing in or creating new saves with the default / “normal” lifespan, as we work towards a solution.

If you are playing The Sims 4, therefore, we recommend that you follow this developer information. Alternatively, you can always install mods that remove death from the game, but the experience would probably suffer enough. All that remains is to wait for a new patch, which will completely eliminate this error and allow you to play normal games, without worrying too much about premature aging.
