A criticism made by many seasoned players in Genshin Impact is that the difficulty of the enemies and bosses does not represent a challenge. Perhaps the only exception being the Spiral of the Abyss and some combat events. In any case, this is only a judgment of the most experienced, because if it is the novices, sometimes the game makes them difficult.
And it is that, there is a sudden increase in the difficulty level of the game once we do the Adventure Rank ascension mission. If this is your case, we explain how to lower Genshin Impact World Level.
What is the World Level and how can it be lowered?
You can adjust the Genshin Impact World Level and access other options from the Paimon menu.
The Adventure Rank is the progression indicator that each Genshin Impact account has, it goes from level 1 to 60. In this way, as you progress through the story, complete the missions and gain experience, you will increase your Adventure Rank , but after some progression also increases World Level.
said level is an indicator of difficulty of the enemies that you will face in Teyvat, this way, at a World Level of 0, the enemies that appear will have a level from 1 to 25. And so, as you increase your Adventure Rank and World Level , the greater the strength of the monsters and bosses you face.
Luckily, for players less advanced in combat, the HoYoverse have placed the World Level decrease function which allows to move back said indicator in a level (with the obvious reduction of strength and difficulty of the enemies). We explain how to activate it below.
Step by step to reduce the World Level of Genshin Impact
- Open the game and once you find your character, immediately click the paimon’s menuin the upper right corner of the screen.
- When all the options and information in that menu are open, you will be able to see your game data, including your current World Level (in the case of the example, it reads that I am Level 8). Click on the icon to the right of that level.
- A window will appear with information about the World Level and below a button that says «Reduce World Level«.
- You will have to accept your desire to decrease said level again by pressing where it says «Confirm«. Once this is done, you will notice how your enemies become weaker, but the quality and quantity of rewards they generate along with the loot from the Ley Line Flowers is also reduced.
- Remember that this function will allow you increase or decrease World Level by 1but it is only enabled once per day.
